The Novel Blueprint Program

The Novel Blueprint Program is an eight-session coaching engagement designed to take a novel from idea to completed outline.

Through a combination of guided exercises, personalized feedback, and one-on-one coaching, we’ll work together to develop your story’s premise, protagonist, structure, character arc, major turning points, and scene-by-scene roadmap before drafting begins.

By the end of the program, you will have a complete blueprint for your novel and a clear plan for writing the first draft.

  • Attend scheduled coaching sessions
  • Participate actively in discussions and decision-making

The quality of the final outline depends on the quality and completeness of the work submitted throughout the program.

Boundaries & Limitations

To ensure focused, productive coaching, the program includes the following boundaries:

  • Feedback is developmental in nature and focuses on story structure, character development, plot construction, pacing, and related craft concerns.
  • This program does not include line editing, copyediting, proofreading, or full-manuscript evaluation.
  • Email communication between sessions is limited to scheduling and brief clarification questions regarding assigned exercises or feedback already provided.
  • Additional coaching sessions outside the eight-session program may be purchased separately.
  • Coaching provides guidance, recommendations, and professional opinions. Final creative decisions remain the author’s responsibility.
  • While this program is designed to strengthen your story and planning process, no specific writing, publishing, representation, or sales outcomes can be guaranteed.

Scheduling & Policies

Sessions will be scheduled at mutually agreed-upon times.

Materials must be submitted at least 24 hours before the scheduled coaching session to allow adequate review time. Materials submitted less than 24 hours before a session may require rescheduling.

Because this program is based on coaching sessions rather than calendar weeks, the overall timeline may vary depending on scheduling needs, client availability, and other circumstances.

Missed sessions without at least 24 hours’ notice may be forfeited.

Deliverables

By the conclusion of the program, you will have:

  • A refined premise
  • Genre and market positioning
  • A defined protagonist and character arc
  • Major structural turning points
  • A scene-by-scene drafting roadmap

In short, you will have a complete novel blueprint designed to guide the drafting process from beginning to end.

Next Steps

Once enrolled, you’ll receive onboarding materials, scheduling instructions, and the preparation materials for Session One.

Shared Goal

Our goal is to create a complete, actionable blueprint for your novel before drafting begins.

Through guided exercises, personalized feedback, and one-on-one coaching, we’ll develop the core elements of your story—from premise and protagonist to structure and scene planning—so that you can approach drafting with clarity and confidence.

By the end of the program, you should have a completed outline, a stronger understanding of story structure, and a practical roadmap for writing your manuscript.

All services are provided in accordance with our Policies & Expectations, which are included with your proposal.
